Tails were wagging and residents smiling at Cypress Village during their grand opening event for the Cypress Dog Park earlier this month. The senior living community unveiled its newly renovated dog park with a “Doggies and Donuts” event. Canines and their humans enjoyed refreshments and great company as they gathered in the new park.
“It’s their home, too and we want to make sure our pets are just as happy to be here as any other resident,” Katie Amador, director of resident programs at Cypress Village said.
The new space is likely to be a popular attraction for residents with furry friends with the dog days of summer behind us and cooler temperatures ahead. Cypress Village is a Jacksonville retirement community dedicated to creating a lifestyle of comfort and convenience for residents, and this latest addition is part of the continued expansion taking place at the community. Furry friends are included in many of the activities that take place on the grounds, including an annual Halloween Pet Parade in October and a Patriotic Pet’s Parade on the 4th of July. Many Cypress Village residents have pets in the family, and the new dog park will serve as a place to enjoy the outdoors and socialize with friends and neighbors.
Located adjacent to the Mayo Clinic, Cypress Village has homes and apartments on a 120-acre campus. For more information, call (904) 223-6100.
