The National Multiple Sclerosis Society honored Beaches-area cyclists Big Bananas recently for being the first North Florida team to reach the $2-million fundraising level. The 25-rider team, formed in 2010 to participate in the annual Bike MS PGA TOUR Cycle to the Shore event, celebrated at Flo’s Premium Ice Cream following a training ride through Ponte Vedra Beach. Big Bananas has been the society's top fundraiser since 2016. This year’s ride, from Ponte Vedra Beach to Daytona Beach and back, will be Oct. 4-5.
