Miracle on the Bayfront Gala returns April 1

Posted

The 12th Annual Miracle on the Bayfront Gala, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, will take place on Wednesday, April 1, at the White Room in St. Augustine. The event is sold out, a testament to the community’s enduring generosity and commitment to supporting St. Jude’s lifesaving mission.

This year’s gala is co-chaired by Lorna MacDonald and Chris Cantabene, owners of the Raintree Restaurant, whose deep roots in St. Augustine and longstanding commitment to philanthropy make them natural champions for St. Jude and the families it serves.

For more than a decade, the Miracle on the Bayfront Gala has brought together community leaders, philanthropists and supporters for an unforgettable evening of purpose, passion and impact. Through the generosity of Northeast Florida, St. Jude continues to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases — and families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.

“Because of this incredible community, miracles truly happen,” said Dawn Barrack, principal adviser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Northeast Florida. “We are especially grateful to Lorna and Chris for leading this year’s event and helping us ensure families can focus on what matters most — helping their child live.”

Still Ways for the Community to Get Involved

Although the gala has reached capacity, community support is still welcomed and needed. The event committee is actively seeking:

  • Silent auction and live auction items or experiences
  • General donations, which can be made online by anyone wishing to support St. Jude’s mission

Auction packages and donated experiences are essential to the success of the evening and play a significant role in funding research, treatment and care provided by St. Jude to children everywhere.

An Evening of Impact and Inspiration

Guests attending the soldout gala will enjoy:

  • Heartfelt St. Jude mission moments featuring patient families and research breakthroughs
  • A luxurious dining experience in one of St. Augustine’s most iconic waterfront venues
  • Exciting silent and live auctions
  • An exclusive rooftop celebration under the stars, overlooking the Bayfront

Now in its 12th year, the Miracle on the Bayfront Gala remains one of St. Augustine’s most meaningful philanthropic gatherings, highlighting the extraordinary impact a united community can have on children and families facing unimaginable challenges.

Supporting the Lifesaving Mission of St. Jude

Funds raised through the Miracle on the Bayfront Gala support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where researchers and clinicians work tirelessly to improve survival rates for childhood cancer and other devastating diseases. Advances made at St. Jude are freely shared around the world, helping children everywhere.
