MOD Pizza celebrated its first location in Jacksonville with a grand opening event Dec. 19.
100 percent of all pizza sales on opening day were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida. The first 52 attendees were treated to one free artisan-style pizza.
MOD serves individual, artisan-style pizzas that are made on-demand in minutes using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Customers can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of over 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics for a fixed price of $8.17. The restaurant is located at 12547 Bartram Park Blvd in Suite 201.
Director of Economic Development Kirk Wendland; Vice President of Operations for MOD Pizza Florida Brick Kerge; President/CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida Paul Martinez; General Manager MOD Pizza Jacksonville Jason Gilmartin; Director of Community Engagement for MOD Pizza Florida Lois Marino; Director of Marketing and Strategic Projects for BBX Capital Terry Frank; Vice President of Real Estate Retail Brands for BBX Capital Angie Kenyon and the MOD Squad all attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.
BBX Capital is the exclusive franchisee for the MOD Pizza brand for the state of Florida and has signed an agreement to develop up to 60 MOD locations throughout the state over the next five to seven years. BBX Capital plans to open additional MOD stores in Florida in early 2018 with locations confirmed for Coral Springs and Kendall.
