Catalyst Theatre is partnering with The Venue – Hastings to bring area residents something completely different: The Gilded Cage Supper Club, a full murder mystery dinner theatre experience.
It's 1928 at the exclusive supper club The Gilded Cage. Fame, fortune and love collide as audiences pack the house for the final performance of the great Sera-Faye Fenix, a beloved jazz singer whose star is fading. Beneath the glittering veneer runs a bootlegging operation, mob entanglements and a betrayal that ends in murder. Dinner is served — can you solve the case before dessert?
Beginning at 6 p.m., each performance includes a cocktail reception with passed hors d’oeuvres, a three-course dinner and a live theatrical production filled with clues, secrets and unexpected twists. Chef Matthew Brown will prepare dinner for the Oct. 2 and 3 performances, while Chef Ellie Shultze will lead the culinary experience on Oct. 30.
Tickets are $125 per person, and advance reservations are required.
Performances are Oct. 2, 3, 24 and 30.
