Coast Friends has announced that Gene Nordan, a well-known Jacksonville entertainer, will entertain the group at their special holiday luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 3. For almost 15 years, Nordan entertained patrons at the piano bar at Le Chateau, a former Atlantic Beach oceanfront bar and restaurant. Nordan will regale the group with holiday tunes and a special sing-along at Marsh Landing Country Club, 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway, Ponte Vedra Beach, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The holiday luncheon is open to members and guests, as well as the community. There will be a special holiday menu as well as a trivia contest with prizes, a champagne toast for luck in the New Year and special prizes and gift cards from favorite local businesses. The cost to attend is $25. Space is limited for this sought-after yearly event, so reservations must be made in advance by contacting the luncheon chairman at bartshar@comcast.net since checks need to be received by Friday morning, Nov. 28, at the latest to reserve your seat.
Established in 1998, Coastal Friends is a social club comprised of women who live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Jacksonville and the surrounding area, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach and St. Augustine. Some of the activities offered are ladies adventures and outings, book club, bunco, canasta, samba, happy hour, lunch in, lunch out, mah jongg and wine socials.
