Many members of the community turned out for the Ponte Vedra Community Association’s (PVCA) tree lighting event on Sunday, Dec. 7. It was a beautiful and heart-warming evening, according to organizers. Even with the rainy weather pushing everyone indoors, the energy, turnout and community spirit made it one of the association’s most special celebrations yet.
The related toy drive was a tremendous success. With the members’ generosity, the association collected more than 250 toys for the local fire department to distribute to children in need this holiday season. The firefighters were deeply appreciative, and the kids absolutely loved their chance to tour the fire truck and meet local heroes.
It was a great evening spent with neighbors, friends and families, full of conversation, connection and holiday cheer.
Organizers thanked the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club for co-hosting and supporting this event and everyone who contributed to making it such a memorable night.
Anyone wanting to join PVCA can go to https://www.pontevedraca.org. The next event is the Sweetheart Dance & Dinner on Feb. 13.
