Ponte Vedra High School alumna and Jacksonville University (JU) golfer Hannah Berman (right) receives the Brady Award, alongside JU soccer player Sebastian Ramirez and JU Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Administration Justin Wilkins. The Brady Award is named in honor of former JU President Dr. James Brady and presented to JU Athletics’ student-athlete leaders of the year who have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA to date. The award is presented to the male and female student-athletes who go above and beyond in all areas of competition, and demonstrate a successful balance between academic achievement, student organization and intercollegiate athletic participation. The JU women’s golf team, coached by Nocatee resident Jennifer Borocz, received the Outstanding Team GPA Award, presented to the teams who have recorded the highest GPA among the 20 sports during the 2018 calendar year.
