Jacksonville Jaguars broadcaster Brian Sexton received the 2025 “Rock of the Community Award” at the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach’s recent Mineral City Celebration.

Sexton received the annual award in recognition for his work in the community through his role with the Jaguars and as a community leader who has volunteered with numerous local charities.

“Brian has the distinction of being one of only three people who have seen all 618 Jaguars games since the franchise began,” Rotary Club President Beverly Flanagan told attendees. “He knows more history about the Jaguars than probably anybody in the organization.”

But it’s what Sexton has done off the field, Flanagan said, that is truly impactful.

“I think just about every single nonprofit organization in North Florida has at one time or another asked Brian to volunteer as emcee at their charity event, and he says yes to everybody — helping to raise thousands of dollars for our community,” she said. “He is also a great friend to our Ponte Vedra Beach Rotary Club. For the past 32 years, Brian has come to our club on the first Thursday in September to tell us what he thinks is going to happen for the Jaguars in the coming season. I can’t think of anyone more deserving to receive the Rock of the Community Award than Brian Sexton.”

Held April 5 at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport, this year’s Mineral City Celebration featured the theme Concours d’Rotary, with guests dressing in elegant period travel attire. Proceeds from the annual gala have benefited dozens of local nonprofit organizations and charities, including the Beaches Dial-a-Ride program, Mission House, BEAM, HEAL, K9s for Warriors, United Way of St. Johns County, the Council on Aging and more.
