The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce recently introduced its latest, local council —Women with Vision — which is designed to mentor and empower women and men in a professional environment through education and collaboration.

The group will meet monthly with speakers who support the group’s vision, purpose and value to inspire individuals in life and business, and to make a positive contribution in the community.

The inaugural meeting and luncheon with the newly established council will be held on Friday, Jan. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Palencia Club, located at 600 Palencia Club Drive in St. Augustine. The cost is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for nonmembers. All nonmembers can contact Erin Johnson, Chamber sales and marketing manager, at (904) 829-5681 or email Erin.Johnson@sjcchamber.com

The featured speaker at the event will be Jessica Huffman, a Gallup StrengthsFinder trained and certified coach, and her topic will be, “Three Ways to Discover a New You in the New Year.”

According to Isabelle Renault, Chamber president and CEO, the Women with Vision Council joins seven regional and professional councils that serve the county and specific business categories.

“We are pleased that Melissa Rowe has led the efforts to establish Women with Vision with previous experience at a neighboring chamber organization,” Renault said. “The chamber believes in helping its members and those in the community with continually improving the business environment in St. Johns County. This new council serves a greater purpose for personal and professional development for women and men spanning all generations.”

Women with Vision is chaired by chamber member volunteers, including Melissa Rowe, Chamber board member and business development and community relations manager for Puroclean Emergency Restoration Services; Gina Mangus, vice chair and vice president of marketing and communications at Flagler Hospital; Marta Grudzinska, program chair and director of admissions at St. Johns Country Day School; Rachael Mueller, communications chair and director of development for Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Inc.; Stephanie McFee, membership chair and founder and CEO of Connections Curator LLC; Tessy Goyenechea-Dieguez, council director and owner of STAT Medical Office Services; and Julie Fuller, council director and owner of FASTSIGNS of St. Augustine.
