St. Vincent’s celebrates centennial with epicurean events


This year, St. Vincent’s HealthCare celebrates 100 years of faithful service to the Jacksonville community. And this fall, the St. Vincent’s Foundation will host several of its signature special events with a theme of celebrating our centennial.

The 15th Annual Delicious Destinations event will be held Sept. 8-10 at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, benefiting St. Vincent’s community outreach programs. This year’s theme is “Farm to Fork, Celebrating Life in the South” and will feature chefs from well-known resorts such as Mar-a-Lago and The Greenbrier.

Our Celebrity Chef Luncheon on Thursday will feature Chef David Guas, host and judge of “American Grilled” on the Travel Channel. A New Orleans native, Guas is a James Beard Finalist for his first cookbook, “DamGoodSweet,” and owner of Bayou Bakery Coffee Bar & Eatery, which has two locations in the Washington, DC area. You won’t want to miss this amazing culinary experience!

Corks & Forks

On November 11, the St. Vincent’s Foundation will hold the 2nd Annual Corks & Forks, benefiting St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay County. The Club Continental will host this event, which highlights the best dishes from local chefs from restaurants such as 29 South, bb’s, Biscottis and South Kitchen & Spirits. The Art Guild of Orange Park will participate by creating fabulous masks for this masquerade event.
