The St. Augustine Lions Foundation and Lions Club will hold its 42nd annual St. Augustine Lions Seafood Festival, March 29-30 at Francis Field in St. Augustine.
The festival has been the primary fundraising event for the St. Augustine Lions Foundation each year since 1981, generating funds for charitable needs and services to the community, focusing on youth, the deaf and the blind, disaster relief, veterans and more.
Francis Field is located at 25 W. Castillo Drive.
The primary draw of the festival is its abundance of great food, live music and fun entertainment. Seafood is the main star, prepared in various ways, along with other cuisines such as barbecue and Asian, Greek and carnival foods.
Live music on the main stage is a feature that gets better year-after-year. The renamed Fun Zone offers excitement for adults and kids, with the Ninja Nation obstacle course, axe throwing for adults and youths, bungee jumping and more. Attendees will enjoy the Arts & Crafts Village and Pirate Landing, featuring performers such as magicians, pirates and characters like mermaids, lions and Smokey Bear.
“We’re very excited for the bigger and better 2025 festival,” said Memory Hopkins, festival co-chairman. “The Seafood Festival is a beloved local event, and it’s always wonderful to see the community come together to have fun and support our charitable work. We look forward to seeing everyone during the last weekend in March!”
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 30. The Arts & Crafts village closes at sundown. No pets allowed.
Shuttles will pick up and drop off visitors on March 29 at a shuttle location provided by the City of St. Augustine. More information on parking and shuttles will be posted on the websites lionsfestival.com and citystaug.com as well as at Facebook.com/staugustinelionsfestival.
