Some of the most meaningful partnerships in a community grow quietly over time, nurtured by shared values, mutual respect and a belief that together, more is possible.
The partnership between Underwood Jewelers and Angelwood, Inc. is of this type. Once again, Underwood Jewelers plans to host its annual trunk show and prize draw benefiting Angelwood.
The trunk show runs from April 30 through May 2 at Underwood's Ponte Vedra Beach location. It will feature exclusive collections by two world-renowned designers, David Yurman and Platinum Born.
In addition, the designers, together with Underwood’s, have donated two exclusive pieces of jewelry to be used as a prize draw. The drawing will be held Aug. 15 at Angelwood’s annual “Celebration” event, giving guests of the trunk show yet another reason to get involved and support the cause.
“At Angelwood, we are surrounded every day by individuals of extraordinary resilience and families of extraordinary love,” said Angelwood CEO Heather Stamper. “Events like this trunk show are proof that our community shows up for one another. We are deeply grateful for this partnership with Underwood’s and for every person who walks through those doors during the show.”
According to John Rutkowski, store manager at Underwood’s Ponte Vedra Beach location, “We have always believed that a great jewelry store is more than the pieces it sells. It's a place where people mark life’s most meaningful moments. Hosting this trunk show for Angelwood allows us to extend that philosophy into our community in the most direct way possible. The work Angelwood does for individuals and families living with disabilities is vital, and we are proud to lend our store, our designers and our customers to support that mission.”
Underwood Jewelers has been a cornerstone of the Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach communities since its founding in 1928. Under Clayton Bromberg’s leadership, Underwood was inducted into the National Jewelers Hall of Fame.
Angelwood, Inc. has been quietly and steadfastly doing its own important work since 1993 — providing residential care, respite services, support for employment, behavioral services, summer day camp and adult day training to more than 300 individuals and families living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
