The month of April is special for Village Arts Framing & Gallery in Sawgrass Village as the Ponte Vedra Beach business celebrates its 27th year as part of the community.
Owner Pamela Keegan and her staff offer expert framing, and the gallery is proud to showcase award-winning local and regional artists.
“Many people tell me the original art they see here in the gallery is the best-kept art secret in Ponte Vedra Beach,” Keegan said.
During this anniversary month, oil painters Karen F. Rose and Eve Albrecht will be the featured artists.
According to Village Arts, Rose paints a poetic vision finding nature as her source. Her paintings reflect the quiet times of day suggesting atmosphere, mood and ephemeral effects of light rather than description of place.
Albrecht paints colorful beach scenes of the Florida landscape and specializes in portrait painting. Eve recently completed several commission paintings for gallery clients.
April also launches a workshop schedule for Village Arts. Tina Guarano Davis, an artist well known for her classical drawing skills and use of gold leaf in painting and architectural applications, will be offering a workshop. Davis is a member of the Gilders Society of America and has worked on projects at the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, in New York and internationally. She will be describing the history of the use of the medium and demonstrating applications for contemporary and traditional painters.
