Wesley Wells Farms ushers in autumn

Pumpkin Festival and Handmade Market a big success

Wesley Wells Farms kicked off the fall season on Saturday, Sept. 26, with their annual Pumpkin Festival and Handmade Market. The morning was cool, a glimpse of crisper fall weather ahead. Families gathered at the festival to enjoy time together and selected fresh produce for seasonal cooking and baking.

Farm guests enjoyed taking family photos in the yellow Sunn Hemp Fields and finding their favorite pumpkins for carving, painting and even pumpkin pie baking. The tractor hayrides across the fields were loved by all and offered a picturesque view of the farm grounds.

Horses, pigs, chickens and highland cows call the farm home. Guests got the chance to meet the cows at a highland cow encounter and took pictures with their new furry friends. Guests who attended earlier in the morning had the chance to witness the excitement of pig racing!

Shoppers enjoyed strolling through the vendor market and took home their favorite fall treats and finds which included honey, homemade soap, crochet gifts, clothing, hats, pickled vegetables, sour dough and preserves.

While exploring the grounds, guests got to hear beautiful live music by Wyatt Shane Music, Bryson Hendricks Band and Hallie Pecnik Music. Local food trucks offered delicious snacks and sweets available for purchase. Among them were Mr. Softee Ice Cream, The Sugared Lemon and Family Grounds.

The Pumpkin Festival was a massive success; however, the fall fun is still underway!

Throughout October, the farm is hosting Pumpkin Patch Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. These relaxed autumn mornings have plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including pumpkin picking, hayrides, kids zone activities, farm animal feeding and photo ops.

The farm owners suggest bringing wagons and tote bags for carrying pumpkins, produce and flowers from their plentiful You-Pick fields (all produce sold separately). Boots are also recommended as the grounds can get muddy after the rain.

Wesley Wells Farms loves sharing the beauty and significance of agriculture with the community. The family-owned farm creates meaningful moments where families can slow down, spend time together, explore and connect with the land. They also host an annual Strawberry Festival and a Sunflower & Tomato Soiree. To learn more and purchase pumpkin patch tickets, go to https://wesleywellsfarm.com.
