The greens of The Yards in TPC Sawgrass were busy with swinging golf clubs and exclamations of accomplishment as the Tesori Family Foundation hosted another All-Star Kids Clinic for children with special needs, presented by THE PLAYERS Championship, on Wednesday, March 12.

The clinic marked the 11th consecutive event during THE PLAYERS Championship week, though the Tesori Family Foundation hosts other programs throughout the rest of the year nationwide.

Founded by PGA TOUR player and current PGA TOUR caddie Paul Tesori and his wife Michelle, the All-Star Kids Clinic aims to make a positive change in the lives of children, in both our local community and the communities touched by the PGA TOUR.

“There’s only one goal,” Tesori said. “We take kids with special needs between 8-18 and we introduce them to golf and treat them like all-stars, hence the name.”

The all-star kids were divided into groups and taken to various putting setups throughout The Yards, where they were offered one-on-one professional golf instruction from several PGA TOUR players and caddies.

Tom Kim, a rising star on the PGA TOUR and competitor in this year’s tournament, joined the clinic to share advice and connect with the all-stars.

“Paul’s family, his team, his foundation– it’s really cool to see what he’s doing,” Kim said. “These kids are so excited to go out and do what I do for a living, so to be able to see the joy that they have is really great.”

The All-Star Kids Clinic has become so popular in the Northeast Florida area that the foundation has added a second clinic in the fall to accommodate another group of 25 children.

With another successful clinic completed, the Tesori Family Foundation continues to make a lasting impact, bringing joy and opportunity to children with special needs through the game of golf.
