The 2016 Ponte Vedra Auto Show not only features a new location at Nocatee Town Center, but also a new presenting sponsor as well: Fields Auto Group.
The event sponsorship presents an opportunity for Fields Auto Group to increase its brand awareness following its acquisition earlier this year of Brumos Automotive.
Garry Redig, Fields Auto Group vice president of operations, believes the auto show is a good fit for the company.
“Since we took over Brumos in April, we’re certainly trying to get our name out to the whole Jacksonville market about the Fields Auto Group and what we represent now that we have eight stores as opposed to just three,” Redig said. “We think it’s a wonderful fit; we’re glad to be involved in it.”
Brandon Starks, general manager of Porsche Jacksonville, was one of a number of Brumos employees to transition to Fields Auto Group after the transaction. Brumos had previously served as the auto show’s sponsor.
“It’s a great event,” Starks said. “It’s very open and welcoming – especially being in Nocatee this year, I think families will find it entertaining. It’s a good way to spend a Sunday.”
Many Fields Auto Group employees live in Nocatee, which adds another level of connectivity to the event, according to Redig.
New models
To highlight its sponsorship of the 2016 Ponte Vedra Auto Show, Fields Auto Group will display a variety of new models from its Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Jaguar Land Rover dealerships, with representatives from each of the brands on site to answer questions and provide more information. In addition, Porsche enthusiasts will have a chance to check out the newest model – the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster – and take a test drive of the vehicle from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Appointments may be made by visiting www.porschejacksonville.com. Walk-up appointments will be accepted as availability allows.
Fields Auto Group representatives will also hand out promotional material, giveaways and grab bags at the sponsor’s tent.
Redig said that in addition to being a nice way for the company to get its name out in front of a lot of people, the event is a great way to support the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce at the same time.
“When you can get a good display of cars and support a good cause, it’s really a win-win,” Redig said. “We look at it as a positive in both respects.”
Fields Auto Group began 45 years ago with Fields Cadillac in Evanston, Illinois. Since then, the family owned and operated company has expanded to serve Florida, Wisconsin and North Carolina.
