Presented by The Junior Service League of St. Augustine, Feel the Wheels is a one-day event that allows children to see, touch, and explore big trucks and vehicles on display such as construction trucks, emergency responders, tractor trailers, utility trucks, boats and more. In addition, proceeds from the event will help further the mission of tag! Children’s Museum of St. Augustine to create a place for discovery and imagination, sparking a passion for learning and innovation.

“We are happy to be able to help raise funds and interest for tag! Children’s Museum of St. Augustine,” said K.J. Hatfield, general manager of St. Augustine Outlets. “We encourage everyone to come out to this fun and incredibly unique event. This is really a great family event and one we’re proud to host and look forward to each year.”

Organizers say the museum was the vision of a group of parents and professionals looking to create a hands-on, interactive educational venue for children to explore, socialize and learn while they play. The museum was incorporated in May 2007 as the Children’s Museum of St. Johns (CMSJ) and received its 501(c)3 designation. With more than 30,000 square feet of indoor space, the museum will also feature an outdoor learning experience. Theme areas for exhibits will focus on health and wellness, environment, culture, and science, technology, engineering, art and math. tag! is governed and its programs are run by a volunteer board of directors and many dedicated volunteers.
