Diane Strella has joined Beach House Assisted Living & Memory Care as director of health services.

Strella brings to her new role 40 years of experience working in rehab facilities and long-term care. In addition to being a registered nurse, she is a registered respiratory therapist and a licensed assisted living administrator.

Strella joined Beach House shortly before it was awarded a deficiency-free rating by the state for Extended Congregate Care (ECC). The ECC license requires adherence to state rules and regulations.

“Even when health needs change, the ECC license allows our residents to remain in their familiar surroundings longer, in the same apartment, with the same caregivers and friends they’ve come to know and love at Beach House,” Executive Director Jack Barnes said.

Licensed for up to 100 beds, Beach House offers 64 private alcove, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments for residents needing assistance with activities of daily living. The facility also has 20 private suites for residents requiring specialized memory care for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
