Beaches Go Green emphasizes health

Beaches Go Green is evolving. With its new 2.0 mission, the nonprofit is expanding its reach beyond traditional environmentalists and plastic pollution. Why? Because, while not everyone cares about the planet, most people care about their own health — and their family’s.

“As science increasingly links environmental toxins to chronic diseases and climate issues, the message is clear: what harms the Earth is also harming us,” says Beaches Go Green founder Anne Marie Moquin. “We want people to understand that when choosing a cleaner lifestyle, clean foods and nontoxic products with transparent supply chains, we benefit in both personal and planetary health.”

BGG 2.0 aims to educate, especially youth, about the growing connection between toxins, consumer choices, and long-term health outcomes — empowering change for a healthier, more sustainable future.

Beaches Go Green invites students, schools, parents and community members to get involved in environmental education and action. Whether starting a club, reducing one’s toxin footprint, planting native plants, growing one’s own food or cleaning up the community, Beaches Go Green wants people to know their actions matter.

Beaches Go Green is always looking for community partners to help them further their impact in the Northeast Florida.
