Some of the youngest gardeners on the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach Campus harvested dozens of carrots last week during Carolyn Houston’s science class. The hands-on lesson included an outdoor excursion to the campus’ raised garden beds, where students learned how to properly pull carrots from the ground. They later observed the colorful roots in the lab. The carrots will later be used to prepare students’ healthy lunch menus in Ponte Vedra Hall.
