In addition to being included in the St. Augustine Record’s inaugural “40 Under Forty” class, Ponte Vedra residents Toni Boudreaux-Godwin and Jeremiah Blocker received two awards at the March 28 banquet for the honorees.
Boudreaux-Godwin, the director of the Ponte Vedra Beach Division of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, received the top award for Most Charitable Young Professional of the Year.
“I was honored to be recognized among such a phenomenal group of young professionals for the St. Augustine Record’s inaugural ‘40 under Forty,’” Boudreaux-Godwin said. “It was so fun to see some of my fellow Leadership St. Johns classmates, friends and colleagues at the luncheon supporting recipients that they knew being recognized as well. However, receiving a top award for the ‘Most Charitable Young Professional of the Year Award’ is something I will not forget. Giving back to the community is very important to me and being recognized for that was truly a special moment.”
Blocker, who serves as county commissioner for District 4, received the 2019 Young Local Government Officer of the Year award.
“I’m very appreciative and humbled,” said Blocker, who provided credit to his family, friends, mentors and leaders, and the Lord. “You don’t accomplish things like that without great people investing in your life.”
Boudreaux-Godwin and Blocker were among 40 young professionals honored at the awards banquet held at The Embassy Suites by Hilton in St. Augustine. All nominees were reviewed by a panel of judges for the opportunity to be awarded specific category awards.
