Tell us about your artwork. What inspires you?
I am inspired by everyday scenes of nature and atmospheres. Shadows, light and colors change by the millisecond. My goal is to capture just a bit of that vista.
Tell us about your journey as an artist. What first sparked your interest?
I liked to draw as a kid. That interest evolved into painting. My mother was artistically talented, so I was sparked by her.
Tell us about your art on display in the gallery. What inspired it and what mediums did you use?
My selections for the gallery hopefully reflect what people see locally.
What is your artistic process like?
Selection of subject matter and composition. I am a studio artist, mainly painting in acrylic from photos.
What do you like best about what you do?
The satisfaction of capturing a long-lasting image that hopefully emotes an emotional connection.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I am technically retired, so my day is planned around family, traveling and, of course, painting.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Reading, playing golf, bike riding and fishing.
What’s next for you and your art?
Continue to produce original works to rotate into the various venues that handle my works.
