The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce recently announced the following employee promotions:
• Lucia Miller will now assume the role of senior coordinator for the Ponte Vedra Beach Division and Visitors Center. In this role, she will continue with her day-to-day responsibilities and will take on new responsibilities as it relates to securing membership, sponsorship and assigned projects dealing with the Chamber’s growing role in tourism through the Destination Architect plan.
• Bob Porter will take on the role of vice president of public policy. In this position, he will continue to develop relationships with elected officials from all levels of government as well as other government officials and, along with Karen Everett, will continue to oversee the Chamber’s economic development efforts. He will also continue increasing the Chamber’s position as an influencer in public policy.
• Bethany Taylor will be coming on full time with the Chamber, and her title will now be office coordinator and retention specialist. In her new role, she will continue to manage the reception and event registrations and provide administrative support, but she will now devote an entire day each week solely to the retention of Chamber members.
