The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens has updated its hours of operation, creating more opportunities for the community to experience its celebrated galleries and historic gardens.

In addition to its ongoing commitment to free access days and enriching cultural experiences, the museum will highlight special family programming this fall and winter.

Families can enjoy Sensory-Friendly Sundays, a welcoming experience designed for visitors with sensory sensitivities; Make & Take: Cracks of Gold — Kintsugi, a hands-on workshop that introduces participants to the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, turning flaws into beautiful expressions of resilience.

A destination for family learning, creativity and exploration, the Cummer Museum is offering this fall and winter engaging kid-focused programs such as Artful Storytime, which pairs stories with hands-on art activities; and Art Adventures, where children experiment with new materials and techniques.

The new hours of operation are: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays; and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Closed Mondays.

Free Access Days for the general public are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every first Saturday and 4-9 p.m. every third Tuesday.

Free daily access is available to children age 5 and younger and SNAP, EBT and WIC cardholders.

Free access is also offered each Tuesday through Friday for college students with valid student I.D. and every Wednesday for active-duty military, veterans and their families.

The first full weekend of each month is free for Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders.
