Healing Haunted Houses, a ghost removal service, has moved to the First Coast in time for the Halloween season.
Business owner Lisa Evans, a St. Augustine resident, facilitates the removal of earthbound spirits and other negative energies from people, their homes and businesses. The company launched in 2007 as a response to an increasing request for the removal of disruptive ghosts and other unwanted energies from homes and properties due to noises, ghostly appearances, unexplained phenomena or a feeling of unsettledness.
“I continue to be amazed by how many people have had a haunting or other unearthly experience," Evans said. "I am honored to bring this service to those who are fearful and in desperate need of help."
Jackie Ronco, owner of a metaphysical shop in St. Augustine called The Purple Lotus, noted that her business has been haunted by supernatural beings.
“My business is housed in a building that dates back to the early 1900s," Ronco said. "It was being haunted by multiple ghosts, one or two of which would make their presence known on a daily basis. Besides seeing shadows constantly throughout the day and hearing conversations between multiple spirits, the doors would slam, and the lights would flicker while I was talking to customers. It was not uncommon to walk in in the morning and find merchandise all over the floor. I did not realize the impact the spirits were having on my business until after Lisa did the clearing."
Evans transitioned into this line of work after a 30-year career in the corporate world, she said.
“I discovered energy clearing out of my own personal need for healing," Evans added. "I began clearing the energy field of people, then this evolved into clearing the energy of homes and businesses.”
Identifying and clearing energies can be conducted at any location in the world. Consequently, Evans has clients from as far away as Australia, India and the United Kingdom.
Although the services of Healing Haunted Houses benefit the living, Evans said they also benefit the earthbound spirits that are removed.
“We believe that the removal of earthbound spirits is important whether the spirits are friendly or causing problems," she noted. “Earthbound spirits that take up occupancy in a building are believed to be the spirits of people like you and me, who for whatever reason, have not crossed over and are now trapped on this plane of existence.”
Evans freely admitted that her job at Healing Haunted Houses is unique and may not be for most people.
“I consider myself just a normal person with a unique job,” she revealed.
