Attorney David M. Dunlap of Dunlap, Ravis and Miller, PLLC recently received this year’s President’s Award from the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Jacksonville Chapter.
The local chapter presented Dunlap with the award Nov. 30 at its 30th anniversary celebration at Timuquana Country Club, which was attended by more than 130 members and guests from Jacksonville and the Beaches, including several judges. Dunlap was recognized for his commitment, support and involvement in the various programs that ABOTA sponsors and offers to the community.
ABOTA is a national organization comprised of plaintiffs and defense trail attorneys who have met certain trial skills and professionalism criteria for admittance. Membership is by invitation only. There are approximately 100 members in the North Florida chapter.
Dunlap, who practices in the Beaches communities, was additionally installed as the chapter secretary for 2019, in addition to a handful of other people who were inducted as new members or officers. Dunlap is also a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach.
