Ponte Vedra Beach author Victor DiGenti recently returned from the Florida Authors & Publishers Association President’s Awards Banquet sporting a gold medal honoring his latest historical biography, “James R. Anthony: The Banker Who Shaped Florida’s History.”

The book mixes Florida history with Anthony’s biography, telling the story of this little-known but pivotal figure in Florida’s early history.

When DiGenti, an award-winning novelist and professional ghostwriter, was introduced to Anthony’s fascinating story, he meticulously documented the life and times of the successful entrepreneur, who bankrolled developers and helped change Florida’s constitution to eliminate the state income tax.

DiGenti has worked as a ghostwriter and biographer for the past 11 years, helping people write their personal and family histories. He’s a member of the Association of Ghostwriters and the Florida Writers Association and is on the Board of the Beaches Museum in Jacksonville Beach.

“James R. Anthony: The Banker Who Shaped Florida’s History” is available in area bookstores and on Amazon.com.
