Underwood Jewelers in Ponte Vedra Beach hosted a reception May 1 to recognize the $5,000 Community Impact Grant presented by the Jacksonville General Office of New York Life to local nonprofit Angelwood.

New York Life’s Community Impact Grant program, which began in 2008, awards grants of up to $25,000 to local nonprofit organizations, which are supported by New York Life agents and employees. Since the program’s inception in 2008, nearly 600 grants totaling nearly $7 million have been awarded to nonprofits across the country.

Guests at the reception enjoyed Italian food and drinks. They also had an opportunity to meet jewelry designer Ippolita Rostagno, as well as purchase tickets to win an IPPOLITA necklace with all proceeds benefitting Angelwood. New York Life representatives presented a check that helped fund Angelwood’s Summer Day Camp for school-aged children living with developmental and intellectual differences.
