St. Augustine Humane Society reveals “Pin Up Paws” calendars

The St. Augustine Humane Society has unveiled its 2017 “Pin Up Paws” calendar.

Each year, the Humane Society produces a calendar featuring local pets that compete for featured monthly pages. This year, calendar votes raised close to $15,000 for the nonprofit organization, with terrier mix Fletcher Watson earning the title of fan favorite and raising $3,475 for first place and the cover.

The 2017 calendar depicts a travel destination with the winners posing as tourists. The new calendar with a theme of “Travel Tails” is available at locations in St. Augustine including the Humane Society at 1665 Old Moultrie Road, the Amiro Art & Found Gallery at 9 Aviles St. and Dogtown at 6988 US-1, Ste. 301.

The $10 fundraising calendars support the nonprofit’s mission to prevent pet overpopulation with affordable spay and neuter programs and to eliminate the need to relinquish pets to shelters. Additional program offerings include a charity pet clinic, a pet food bank, pet grooming at the Society Pet Spa and the Humane Society’s re-homing service, among others.

In addition, the recent Pin Up Paws winners will be honored with a party on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The dinner will feature music, cocktails, auction, a wine pull and a photo booth at Mark Lance Armory, located at 190 San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine. Tickets are $50 per person and $60 at the door. Party sponsorships and program book tributes are available for purchase. For more information about the calendars and event tickets, call (904) 829-2737 or visit the website at www.PupParty.org.
