John Bell, who was involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident in 2011 that resulted in the amputation of his left leg, has credited Power Tee for being a part of his comeback journey.
“I will say that Power Tee is the main reason for me getting back in the game," he said. "With being an above knee amputee, I have had to completely change my golf swing, and with Power Tee I was able to save all my energy not loading the ball and focus on my swing and stance."
Bell also noted that he used Power Tee during his training and to help prepare him for the Veterans Charity Tournament and the Phoenix Cup.
Realizing he would never be able to go back to the job he loved, a heavy equipment operator, Bell decided to focus on family and friends. He soon found a new passion for helping others who have gone through the loss of a limb. Working with organizations like the Never Say Never Foundation, U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance and local amputee support groups, Bell has dedicated himself to showing other amputees how to adapt to the new lifestyle and how to stay positive. Furthermore, Bell attends the Annual Amputee Coalition Conference every year.
