The Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library's solar eclipse event featured astronomy books, games and a projector screen with live eclipse coverage from NASA. Due to rain, most attendees remained in-doors and watched the eclipse on the big screen. At the Jacksonville Public Library, event goers congregated in the courtyard at the top of the building to look for a glimpse of the eclipse through the cloudy sky. Attendees stood near a water fountain and gazed at the sun through special glasses. The solar eclipse watch party at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa offered guests complimentary food, snacks and desserts on Cascade Deck. The event also featured an arts and crafts table and live TV coverage of the eclipse.
